JACKSON HOLE, WYOMING
Internationally acclaimed pianist, and audience favorite, Yefim Bronfman performs at the Grand Teton Music Festival in Jackson Hole tonight, July 20th through Saturday, July 22nd.
Bronfman takes the stage at Walk Festival Hall at 8PM. “A marvel of digital dexterity, warmly romantic sentiment, and jaw-dropping bravura,” (Chicago Tribune) Bronfman’s residency begins with Debussy’s work for solo piano, Suite bergamasque. Within Suite bergamasque is timeless classic and nod to this year’s eclipse, Clair de Lune (“Moonlight”). Following Bronfman’s performance of this charming work of impressionism, Festival Musicians kick off a weekend of Brahms with two of the composer’s chamber music masterpieces: String Quartet No. 2 in A minor and Piano Trio No. 3 in C minor.
Three great Bs are featured on Friday, July 21 at 8PM and Saturday, July 22 at 6PM —Bartók, Brahms, and Bronfman. The concert opens with Bartók’s Concerto for Orchestra, a virtuosic work perfect for showcasing each section of the Festival Orchestra. The concert closes with Bronfman’s performance of Brahms’ epic and inspirational Second Piano Concerto, a tour de force of the piano repertoire.
Don’t miss this opportunity to experience Yefim Bronfman’s masterful interpretation of Brahms.
