Beat it with festival percussionists – Jackson Hole News & Guide

The Grand Teton Music Festival’s percussion section has put together a traveling show as part of this year’s “On the Road” series, and will present it at 3 p.m. Thursday at Teton County Library and 3 p.m. Friday in the Center for the Arts Amphitheater. Both shows are free.

“It’s going to be light classical and pop,” said 32-year GTMF veteran Brian Prechtl, “along with some ragtime and a lot of Latino music.”

…Joining Prechtl will be Richard Brown, who has been with the festival for 44 years, John Kinzie (33 years) Wiley Sykes (21 years) and Matthew Strauss (five years) as well as Leonardo Soto and, on bass, Knox Barber.
