Beethoven: Egmont Overture
Bruch: Violin Concerto No. 1
Mendelssohn: Symphony No. 3, “Scottish”
GTMF audience favorite James Ehnes returns to perform Bruch 1, a work heralded by its dedicatee as the “richest” and “most seductive” of the great 19th-century violin concertos. Maestro Donald Runnicles will also lead the Festival Orchestra in a portrait of home with Mendelssohn’s “Scottish” Symphony.
