Pianist Cahill Smith has performed in major venues in the United States and abroad, including four programs at Carnegie Hall’s Weill Recital Hall, the PolyTheater in Chongqing, China, the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum’s Calderwood Hall in Boston. Mr. Smith has been featured as a concerto soloist with the National Ukranian Symphony Orchestra in Kiev, the Mongolian Symphony Orchestra in Hohhot, China, the Eastman Philharmonia, the Alabama Symphony Orchestra, the Chattanooga Symphony, the Butler Symphony Orchestra, the Mississippi Symphony Orchestra, the Montgomery Symphony Orchestra, and others. His live and studio recordings have been broadcast on WQXR, New York’s Classical Music Radio Station, WCRB, Classical Radio Boston, and WSMC, Chattanooga Public Radio.
Cellist Heather Smith performs regularly as a chamber and orchestral musician. She plays frequently with the Chattanooga Symphony and Opera, the Alabama Symphony, the Greenville Symphony, the Jackson Symphony, and the Oak Ridge Symphony, and has recently performed in chamber programs at the University of Tennessee Chattanooga, Lee University, Southern Adventist University, Covenant College, and Austin Peay State University. She also has performed with Intersection Contemporary Music Ensemble in Nashville. Ms. Smith has served as principal cellist of the Orford Academy Orchestra in Quebec, Canada, as well as the Colorado College Summer Music Festival Orchestra. She currently serves on the faculty of Utah State University teaching applied cello and “Masterpieces of Music”. She also maintains a private cello studio in Logan, Utah. Heather is a graduate of the Eastman School of Music in Rochester, NY, where she studied with David Ying of the Ying Quartet.
