JACKSON HOLE, WYOMING
The Grand Teton Music Festival and the Center of Wonder present another sensational Metropolitan Opera: Live in HD broadcast Thursday, December 14th at 7PM: Hansel and Gretel. Due to recent administrative decisions made by the Metropolitan Opera, the Grand Teton Music Festival is unable to present Mozart’s Magic Flute as previously scheduled. Ticket holders for Magic Flute do not need to exchange their tickets to attend Hansel and Gretel.
Richard Jones’s clever production of Humperdinck’s fairytale opera is based on the Brothers Grimm story. Vladimir Jurowski conducts the sweeping score and delightful cast, including Alice Coote in the role of Hansel and Christine Schäfer as Gretel.
The Metropolitan Opera stages more than 200 performances in New York each year, and the Grand Teton Music Festival is proud to present seven of those performances in Jackson Hole. The Met: Live in HD broadcasts exemplify GTMF’s mission to bring exhilarating music to Jackson Hole year-round.
Please visit gtmf.org/met-2017 to purchase tickets. The 2018 operas will go on sale in January 2018. If you purchased tickets to Magic Flute and do not wish to attend Hansel and Gretel, please contact the Center Box Office for a full refund.
