The Grand Teton Music Festival and Dancers’ Workshop team-up with an exciting week of music and dance, August 16-20, 2016.
The Grand Teton Music Festival closes its exhilarating summer season with 7 concerts, and Dancers’ Workshop welcomes Stars of American Ballet featuring Principal & Soloist Dancers from New York City Ballet. Together, GTMF and DW have curated a week of exceptional world-class performing arts.

Inside the Music: Songs Without Words
GTMF Executive Director and pianist Andrew Palmer Todd hosts this free, one-hour concert. Focusing on chamber music of lyrical composers, Mr. Todd provides musical anecdotes and context to pieces by Falla, Mendelssohn, and Schubert.

Violinist Simone Porter at Heather James Fine Art
Heather James Fine Art hosts an intimate gallery concert of one of classical music’s brightest young stars—violinist Simone Porter. Ms. Porter made her GTMF debut in 2014, and has since traversed the globe garnering worldwide attention for her bold and vibrant command of the violin. Artisan chocolates from Meeteetse Chocolatier Jackson Hole and a glass of wine are included in the ticket price.

Free Family Concert with Jaren Atherholt and Friends
Oboist Jaren Atherholt leads this free concert offering fun for the whole family. Join Ms. Atherholt at Teton County Library as she highlights the woodwinds, exploring the sounds and interplay between this group of instruments.

Opening Night Gala: Performance and Dinner with the Dancers
Dancers’ Workshop’s Annual Fundraising Gala opens the Stars of American Ballet residency, offering a new twist on a beloved tradition. This year, the full Gala event will include a Stars of American Ballet Performance and
dinner in one fabulous evening. Join the dancers—the guests of honor—for dinner, dessert, and dancing immediately following the performance.

Stars of American Ballet
Dancers from New York City Ballet return to Jackson Hole for their 7th annual summer residence at Dancers’ Workshop. Known as Stars of American Ballet, the chamber-sized group of top-level ballet dancers—founded and directed by NYCB Principal dancer Daniel Ulbricht—presents two extraordinary performances of esteemed new works.

Festival Orchestra: Rousing Finish
The season comes to a rousing finish with a pair of Russian masterworks. Violin sensation Simone Porter returns to perform Tchaikovsky’s Violin Concerto with the Festival Orchestra. Led by Maestro Runnicles, the Orchestra then performs Rachmaninoff’s lavishly romantic and epic Second Symphony.
