The music returns to Walk Festival Hall on Thursday, Friday and Saturday night, when Kanneh-Mason joins the Festival Orchestra with Sir Donald Runnicles conducting.

“When I perform, I feel most comfortable and most confident,” said the 22-year-old member of the sensational seven-sibling Kanneh-Mason clan. “I feel I have something to say, something important I carry with me.”
Which works out well, because ever since he won the 2016 BBC Young Musician Competition, the first Black musician to do so, his performance schedule has become rather full, with appearances throughout Europe and the Americas as well as trips to Japan, China and South Korea.
