This week’s program opens with Caroline Shaw’s Thousandth Orange, a minimalist gem full of color and rhythmic play by this Pulitzer-prize winning American composer. Stay for Ravel’s exquisite String Quartet in F Major and Fauré’s Piano Trio in D minor, offering warmth and refinement, before the emotional intensity of Barber’s String Quartet, whose famed Adagio reaches profound stillness and beauty.
