The Grand Teton Music Festival has announced the largest campaign in our history to support Festival musicians and revitalize Walk Festival Hall.
We’ve made great progress. With your support, we’ll make even more. Your generosity is the key to the future of GTMF and our community impact.
building momentum
The Festival has embarked on a $57M* campaign to expand artist housing, raise musician pay and renovate Walk Festival Hall. For 64 years, GTMF has provided a soundtrack for Jackson Hole. Investments in housing, musician pay and the hall will keep our music playing for generations.
In less than two years, GTMF has raised $37M (65% to goal).
Musician pay increased thanks to $14M in new endowment commitments
Housing stabilized by a gift valued at $10M from the Walk Family and Jackson Hole Housing Fund’s construction of 625 Powderhorn
$13M toward renovations on Walk Festival Hall, our performance home
Housing (100%): A $10M grant from the Jackson Hole Housing Fund, led by Margot and Cynthia Walk, will provide 50 years of free access to 18 new bedrooms for musicians.
Musician support (120%): $14.4M in new endowment commitments will double musician pay permanently.
Walk Festival Hall transformation (38%): Your support will kickstart renovations to our performance home.
The stage is set. Now, we must raise the final $22 million to finish the renovation of Walk Festival Hall.
*Does not include $2.4M in additional planned gifts made after the campaign’s public announcement.
transforming Walk Festival Hall
Walk Festival Hall is special. Its acoustics, intimacy and sightlines set it apart.
The venue is also more than 50 years old. Updates and upgrades are overdue. To serve artists and audiences tomorrow, GTMF must transform the hall today.
our vision:
Preserve and refine the acoustics
Increase accessibility and year-round usability
Modernize amenities and repair essential systems
Exterior view of new lobby from the Bridger Gondola
Relocated Box Office and upper lobby entrance on the deck
Deck view from the Teton Club
New lobby connects building with stairs and elevator
Walk Festival Hall transformation (38%): Your support will kickstart renovations to our performance home.
This is more than a basic renovation. It’s a generational investment that will support the next 50 years of Jackson Hole’s culture, creativity and community.
The stage is set. The time is now.
With musician pay and housing goals achieved, it’s time to transform Walk Festival Hall. This renovation and its progress depend on donors like you.
Your generosity will define what comes next. Whether it’s a modest sum or multi-million-dollar investment, your gift matters. We invite you to join our growing family of supporters Setting the Stage for the future—of Walk Festival Hall, Grand Teton Music Festival and our Jackson Hole community.

We first attended GTMF in 2010 and were truly moved to tears by the music. We did not realize and later learned that these were the best musicians from orchestras around the world...
We have lived in Jackson for more than 30 years. We joined GTMF when we first arrived to enjoy the music and the many social events with fellow guarantors...

Will the Festival be open during Walk Festival Hall’s construction?
Yes – GTMF will present a full season of concerts at locations around Jackson Hole while the Hall is being renovated. The upcoming season will be announced in February.
What inspired the Setting the Stage campaign?
The Setting the Stage campaign grew from GTMF’s strategic priorities of ensuring artistic excellence, building long-term sustainability and strengthening community connections. The Festival’s 2023-2027 Strategic Plan, created in collaboration between the Board, musicians, patrons and staff, outlined increased musician honorariums, stabilized musician housing and an upgraded Hall as goals for GTMF’s future.
