At age 65, the Grand Teton Music Festival will go back to school this summer. Walk Hall, the festival orchestra’s Teton Village home since 1974, is set to close in April for building-wide renovations. But the nonprofit still assembled a full seven-week season, with most events scheduled to take place in the Jackson Hole High School auditorium.

That’s a return to GTMF’s origins, when musicians performed in the old high school where the Center for the Arts stands today.

The festival released details of its 2026 season this month. The music is set to start July 2 with “From the Stage to the Screen,” followed by a family concert and the annual Fourth of July “Patriotic Pops,” all on the Center Lawn. It continues through Aug. 15 with six weekend orchestra programs, six chamber music sets, three “Gateway” concerts and four Teton House Concerts.
