The Grand Teton Music Festival’s programming continues to bring meaningful musical experiences to students across the region, reaching hundreds of young people through performances, collaborations and in-school engagement.

This year’s Tony DeSare Holiday Student Concert welcomed 430 students from local elementary schools, along with members of the homeschool community, for a festive and engaging performance.

Meanwhile, WindSync’s in-school performance at Jackson Hole High School connected 220 students from Colter Elementary, Jackson Hole Middle School and Jackson Hole High School, offering an up-close introduction to chamber music.

GTMF’s annual Stringfest saw strong participation, with 70 middle school students and 90 high school students taking part in the 8th-grade and high school programs. Held on February 26, this marked the first time both programs were combined into a single, dynamic week of music-making and collaboration.

Band and Orchestra Musician Residencies also provided deeper, hands-on learning opportunities. 61 high school students worked directly with GTMF musicians, while 230 students from the Classical Academy, Colter Elementary School (CES), Jackson Elementary School (JES), Kelly Elementary School (KES) and Wilson Elementary School (WES) were impacted through school visits.

On Wednesday, March 18, 50 students at Jackson Hole High School welcomed Kittel & Co. for a special in-school visit featuring a dynamic, genre-blending performance and an engaging Q&A session. This experience offered students a fresh perspective on musical performance, potential career paths and a deeper appreciation for music as a lifelong pursuit.

Through these initiatives, GTMF proudly connects young musicians in our community with opportunities that foster creativity, connection and a lifelong appreciation for music.
