The Grand Teton Music Festival gets in on the Yuletide glee with a holiday concert from the Canadian Brass.
Widely considered the greatest brass quintet on Earth, the 52-year-old musical institution founded in Toronto is certainly the best known and probably the widest recorded. The group has created more than 130 albums and DVDs, commissioned a vast number of works and arrangements for brass, performed on every continent except Antarctica and has a repertoire of some 600 works at its disposal.
…They will pull from the deep bag of tricks a collection of popular, jazz and classical numbers befitting the occasion, everything from “Ding Dong Merrily on High” and “You’re a Mean One Mr. Grinch” to movements from J.S. Bach Brandenburg Concertos.
