America and France are front and center on a program that features not one, but two major works for piano and orchestra with the incomparable Michelle Cann. Gershwin’s Rhapsody in Blue is turning 100 this year and, like Ravel’s G Major Concerto, it is a perfect calling card for wit, charm and thrilling originality of its creator.
