Still aglow from their 2023 Grammy Award for Best Classical Instrumental Solo, and about halfway through its current tour, Time for Three returns to Jackson for its fifth visit, promising audiences its unique twist on classical, bluegrass, rock and folk music, and maybe some new original material as well.
“This is a really big deal for us,” co-founding violinist Nick Kendall said, speaking from what he described as the trio’s “spacious soccer parent van” as it headed out of Las Vegas for Tempe, Arizona, “because of the community there we know so well, and it’s a destination for so many of our colleagues in the summer. A stop in Jackson Hole is always an important date.”
The Grand Teton Music Festival welcomes back Time for Three — Kendall, co-founder Ranaan Meyer on double bass, and the trio’s newest member violinist Charlie Yang — for its latest Teton area appearance at 4 p.m. Sunday at the Center for the Arts.
