Over the past five years, the Grand Teton Music Festival has awarded $210,000 in scholarships to high school seniors from Wyoming, Idaho and Montana to help them continue to pursue their musical studies.
Next Monday another $50,000 will be distributed among three finalists in the sixth annual Donald Runnicles Musical Arts Scholarship Competition. Six semifinalists will present 20-minute programs at Walk Festival Hall in Teton Village, after which a panel of judges will name first-, second- and third-place winners who will receive $25,000, $15,000 and $10,000, respectively.
The public is welcome to listen in on these burgeoning talents starting at 5:30 p.m. Attendance is free; no tickets are required.
